I have a wedding followed by travel for honeymoon and travel for parents coming up in the next couple of months. Are there good credit cards to sign up right now? I already have: - Bofa Travel Card - Bofa Customized Cash Rewards card What I don't own, and what I get mails from, are: - American Express Platinum (150K rewards points = $1.5K rewards) - Chase Sapphire (Preferred or Sapphire) (Preferred makes sense, given I don't travel often). Any other credit card suggestions, given some big purchases like wedding, traveling around coming up soon?
Costco Citi Card
Ask your wedding vendors if they give discounts for cash. Almost all of mine gave at least 10% so not worth bothering with any credit card points for that as it’ll be lower in value. For travel, it really depends on how you travel and how you’d use the points. It’s not a simple answer. You already have decent cards so this is more about signup bonuses given they all come with high annual fees.
Chase Sapphire Preferred is great. DM me for referral and I’ll give you a cut.
Can you DM me as well ?
Looks like this is superior alternative to Amex Platinum which has $695 annual fee. Why would some people maintain Amex platinum ? Have you looked into that or compared these two cards
Absolutely, amex has more lounges and better transfer partners (depends on Personal reference tho). People may find those amex perks suit themselves but not for me, i rarely use ubereats and such, plus i dont want to remember to use it monthly. For me, i live in DFW which cap1 has its own lounge as well, so thats a bonus.
You can earn 60K bonus points (plus extra 20K points after qualifying spend) worth $900 in travel. Apply using the Chase Sapphire Preferred link below. https://www.referyourchasecard.com/6j/9QAM68OIS3
I don't see the 20k bonus
