Got blend verbal offer today: TC: 360k - Can take all cash No 401k match 21 paid leave with other benefits Current TC: 190k YOE: 7 How much can I negotiate? #blend #negotiateoffer #engineering #software
I am planning to take RSUs but they offer all cash too. Also they allow to change it every year.
What's the split?
The stock seems in downtrend, all cash is not bad idea . You can buy the stock using the cash if needed.
They don't do stock. They do options.
They mentioned that I will get stocks based on the price on the day of offer acceptance. But waiting for everything in written.
Hmm intresting. I thought you can pick your split between cash and stock option. There options will be granted at market value but will have 10 year expiration.
How long after final interviews did you hear back with verbal/written offer?
Mine was quick. I told them that I have other offers in hand so they gave me verbal offer within 3 days. When did you give interviews?
Hey OP can you share how was the interview process for Blend ?
This is low for IC4 ask for higher
Will do. Do you have any number in mind?
What's the band for IC3 and IC4? Are they similar for PM and Engg?
Also blend has unlimited PTO so I am not sure where the 21 days are coming from
21 days of holidays, that’s what he said. Like 4th if July holiday and all
Also hr is very shady in comp. They have f'd over a lot of people. OP make sure this is not a 1 year thing. Because they will f you over comp if they get a chance. Also talk to someone who works at Blend prior to joining.
Could you please explain a little bit more about how HR fucked up people in comp. I assume this is 1 yr comp and would remain same year on year keeping any performance raises aside.
Ask them what would happen after 1 year? Can they give that to you in writing? They basically promised bunch of equity value to new hires and lied straight up on what it is going to be worth. Ask anyone hired within the last 12 months. The grant price for anyone hired with in the last 12 months was not how he portrayed it to new hires.
Take it.
IPO’ed in July this year.
Why not take some RSU instead ?
