I was just wondering if LinkedIn would be interested in buying Blind in the future. Blind has a vibrant community and it can become more popular than linkedin one day if it starts adding LinkedIn like features (while maintaining user anonymity of course). Linkedin can benefit from having blinds active community and maybe even keep it as an independent app so the community stays intact. Seems like a perfect match to me TBH. What do you guys think? #misc #linkedin #blindapp #acquisitions TC- 115k
Very bad idea. Here's my analysis: Pros: lots of anonymous data about companies, active community, potential to grow.. Cons: legal liability, subpoena risk. One successful subpoena that leaks to the public would completely destroy the supposed anonymity of the app. Also, path to revenue highly unclear. Conclusion: Microsoft (LinkedIn) is a mature company, and it wouldn't make sense for it to take on the massive legal liability that could compromise its relationship with its enterprise customers (i.e. the employers of Blind users)
SPAC?
Boy I can't wait to convert my Blind top contributor status to LinkedIn premium
LinkedIn will get “inspired” by blind and create a blind like app for enterprises where employees can discuss “anonymously”.
Wouldn't it be easier to just acquire Blind?
