https://us.teamblind.com/article/looking-for-recruiter-contacts-or-referrals-at-lyft-and--airbnb-2Kodv5tf You can apparently browse blind without any form of registration, anonymous app my ass So if any particular person or post gets enough attention, I bet the person will be de-anonymized very fast, and getting attention in the open internet is much easier edit: open the link in a web browser, it’s all accessible. just saw somebody quoting a microsoft employee using a blind link on hacker news
Yeahup anyone can see what we've posted.
Defeats the purpose of having exclusive lounges, right? Looks like blind has jumped the shark
This is called security by let's hope noone tries it.
You've always been able to get read only access to the company forums by creating a LinkedIn account claiming you work there. Blind won't let you post until you verify an email address but assume that anyone can read.
Have you tried this with another company?
I just tried it again, is more locked down now. Installed blind on a second device and logged in with my LinkedIn account only. It used to let me read the Amazon lounge doing that but no more. It still list Amazon as a lounge but just prompts me to verify email when I try and read it. It USED to allow that. When I first joined blind I lurked in read only for awhile before verifying with my work email. However tech lounge it still lets me read just with LinkedIn.
Tech Lounge is still off limits to the public. The “topics” was already accessible to anyone that has an email on a random domain (mailinator’s random domains work).
Public Access != Not anonymous. It is against the spirit of verifying company email addresses to get access to company channels.
I have included the explanation just for these type of comments, when the data is visible to everyone, probability of anonymity decreases massively, and if an account is compromised, your entire history of comments is a public knowledge accessible to everyone
