I’ve heard from some past (10 years ago) employees that it’s usually 50% of target and sometimes even 0% of target if Blizz doesn’t ship anything, but the recruiters told me it’s cashed out at the full target pretty much every year. Smells like BS from Blizz. Is this true? How much of that target do engineers usually get? Offered target is 18% of base. #activisionblizzard #blizzardentertainment #gaming
It depends on which team you're on. If you're on a game team you will probably get your full bonus every year.
What if it’s on a game team, but the project hasn’t shipped yet?
I’m on a dev team. Even non-shipping years I’ve been 100% every year for 10 years.
I was told by the recruiter that the bonuses have always been paid out 100%. But there have been years where successful rating still got you less than 100%.
100% of base??
Lol no
100% of the profit sharing target. It usually just depends on the team you are on.
Just got hired last year, in what month do you get paid?
The years I’m aware of never funded less than 50% for “successful” employees, which are in the last 5 years. Expect that if you’re a top performer, even not being on a game team you can expect closer to 80%.
Only 2 of the last 5 years have been 100% bonus payout for me on a game team, rated successful. There was one or 2 Years where it was as low as 50% The recruiter is full of it. Don't rely on the bonus
Do you get a yearly bonus on top of the profit sharing? Or is that one and the same?
They are the same thing. Profit sharing is usually dished out around March and August, 60/40 split. The target is based on your salary and title.
Profit sharing just came out in March. In total for the year (August and March), it's going to be 58%
That recruiter is lying to you. It's not paid out at 100% every year. Our latest payout is only 58% after "record breaking results"
