How did this happen? (Meta Stock)
Let's say you have a Bloomberg new grad full-time offer and a Google internship offer, you're about to graduate, what would you choose? Google full-time > Bloomberg full-time for me, but intern -> full-time conversion is not guaranteed.
See if you can push BB and take the Google internship that way you have time to tell if you can convert. Otherwise BB if you don't wanna risk it

Same boat here. Planning to graduate 1 year early. I choose to go fulltime. Reasons: 1. Tuition is 50k a year, plus what I don’t earn: makes a 220k difference. So better graduate early 2. Pandemic making things uncertain - I prioritize to secure offer when I can
It used to be something like 70% of interns got returning offers. It's much easier to get into G as an intern, and you'll have a strong resume. Also I'm sure BB would let you defer for 3 months with all things considered right now. But if you're graduating, you better hide it from Google- you're supposed to be returning to school after an internship.
If I do the internship, I'll start a PhD and continue working on my PhD while interning at G or similar until I get a return FT offer. The logic is: stay in school and take advantage of it with internships at top companies until you get a top exit, instead of joining a non-top company with the risk of struggling potentially long to get into a top company eventually. Does it make sense?
What kind of struggling you think you would have a BB? They pay more than what you make typically as a PhD student and you can always jump whenever you have a G offer?
is this seriously a question take bb
It's a new grad that fell for the FAANG allure. I'd take the full time, 100% secure offer too over a chance at Google.
How is this even a comparison? Are you actually kidding? How can you even think of an internship with Google at the expense of a full time offer with Bloomberg? Wow! I guess i am starting to understand this pure FAANG obsession. Quite interesting!
It's more along the hope that you'll stay with Google
Google can happen later.
BB, I never got a return offer from, google (was in sales) Work at BB for a year and then start applying for Google jobs.
A bird in hand is worth..... you finish the rest
Your mom's bush
Bloomberg full time. You need to start racking up YOE, and most top companies don’t consider internships as actual work experience. You’re also not guaranteed to get a return offer at google. You could work at Bloomberg for a bit and then casually prep for FAANG interviews and try to get the best offer from them a bit down the road.
I’d say BB. And then try to interview for full time at G later on. I’m saying this because of the current situation with the virus: more stability and more resources to get you through the crisis.
