I’m planning on joining BB soon and was wondering if they are still following the 3 days/week hybrid model. Does this also apply for pre-training and FSD program? Thank you!#engineering #software #Wlb #bloomberg
Yes they are following for now. And yes FSD program is also operation on a hybrid schedule
Yes, still on that schedule (I’m at BBG, just haven’t changed blind). I asked my manager about full RTO the other day and he said he had heard nothing about it and thought they never would. Could be a lie but seemed sincere.
Are the remote days the same for all engineers or is it team dependent? Do they let you pick which days?
It’s team dependent. My team picked one day common and the other 2 days are flexible
My department has no more than 15% in on any day I’ve gone to the office.
If anything, things will get even more flexible going forward. The market will teach the dinosaurs a good lesson on why flexibility is important.
Lol. Economy woll be in recession soon. Employers will call the shots
What makes you say that @vilgax
Yes and I can see Bloomberg will be the first in tech to push fully rto.
Unless the owner dies.
I just accepted a offer, and they told me I have to go into nyc office 3 days a week. No excuses.
Bloomberg is not the place to be if you prefer WFH! We are 3 days a week now but 5 days a week is coming soon. And for people who join as FSD, they don't have an option but to take in person training.
How soon….? I start in June, did they give notice?
3 days a week is not strictly enforced (depends on the team). But Bloomberg is definitely not remote first, my guess is by the end of this year they might start calling people in 5 days a week, depending on COVID of course
