Bloomberg is a private company .. so ideally it would be safer compared to public company. Also Bloomberg never laid off in past.
Just look at how many engineers bbg laid off in 2001 and 2009. Let me know if you find any

Job safety is a myth.
Historically they have been very resistant to layoffs/firing. The Terminal still prints money and there are no investors to push for higher profits.
