hello in the process of reviewing bloomberg offer. It says fir year 1 i am guaranteed atleast 80% of the bonus i signed up for with recruiter - depending on individual and company performance. It can be less or more However year 2 onwards i am not guramteed a bonus amount. It also states i will be eligible to participate in any bonus or incentive compensation programs that are in effect at the time and my target bonus may be adjusted accordingly. Bloomberg may implement a new bonus program or alter existing programs. Does this mean i can even get a 0, equal to the bonus discussed with the recruiter or more? What’s the general trend in terms of yearly bonuses at bloomberg. If someone from BB can throw in some light will be helpful Current TC 295K
Chill dude u will get 100% always
What’s your offer TC and YOE
Always 100% Sometimes more
You won’t get 0. Most people get all of it and if you don’t you’ll be let go regardless. I wouldn’t worry about it.
I think mostly people get 100% or more unless the person is severely underperforming. The bonus amount updates yearly at the compensation discussion
OP what is your offer? Help fellow comrades please.
10 years in and my bonus has always been 100-110%.
If the world goes to shit, then yeah 0 makes sense. Usually it’s about 100%+x (based on inflation) for meets expectations. If you perform poorly then it can be lower.
You can count on 100%-102% bonus, unless you're a candidate for PIP
do they give PIPs like anazon?
No PIP quota as Amazon, but rumors are this year we will have an increased number of PIPed.
Yes you can get zero. It's how underperformers get managed out.
yeah but what’s the target for employees who meet expectations (let’s say 75% of them) can they expect close to the annualized target bonus offered for year 1
Average employees typically get 100-105%. It’s much more about company performance than anything. Your personal performance is reflected in your yearly raise. Also worth noting that your bonus will increase yearly faster than your base salary.
