I'm deciding between two SWE summer internship offers: Bloomberg vs Palantir. Both are in NYC. Background: - I'm a junior right now, and I'm planning to graduate with undergraduate degree in Jun 2025 and master's degree in Mar 2026 or Jun 2026. - International student - Hope to get a full-time offer (if the company is fine to have me in Mar 2026 rather than Jun 2025) or help with getting full-timer offer somehow - Plan to work in the US for 2-3 years and move abroad (Not sure if the two companies are significantly different in terms of global mobility) - I am also interested in quant trading if that could be a factor, but also think that it might be easier to stay in tech. - Comp wise: Bloomberg comes with free housing. Palantir gives me ~1,800 USD more per month + $2,500 per month housing stipend. - Priority: Resume value / Return offers / Transferable skills / WLB Any advice/info will be greatly appreciated!

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
I used to work at Bloomberg. Bloomberg's engineering/culture is essentially layoff-proof and is well respected in the Fintech space. Getting a return offer should be straightforward. Exit opportunities to FAANG and HFTs are possible. You can possibly land on teams with older tech and there's some proprietary tech used as well. I have no take on Palantir.
Thanks for the input!
Palantir. We’re in the middle of a massive surge with AIP and there’s never been a better time to join. Also Palantir simply has better resume value if you’re not sure you’d be staying
How do you feel about republicans? 😂
Pltr. Stock has much potential
Thanks for the input! But I think comp. / stock is not a big factor for me right now.
