Bloomberg vs Roblox for new grad
For new grad role. Bloomberg is in NYC and Roblox is in San Mateo. Bloomberg TC: 225k, 185k recurring Roblox TC: 262k (70k in RSUs), 225k recurring Teams are unknown for both, but Bloomberg seems to have a better team matching process (you get to work with the team for a bit while for Roblox you talk to some managers and fill out a form). Bloomberg has advantage for location and team matching process, but Roblox has better TC and possibly better growth (unclear). Bloomberg is all cash.
Go to Roblox for better growth. You’ll learn a lot as a RCG!
You also learn a ton when you get laid off, so that’s also a very valuable experience.

I’ve been part of hiring a few new grads with offers from finance/fintech and them joining Roblox. I’m extremely biased but join Roblox, I think it’ll set your career up for success much more than Bloomberg will and you’ll be in the right area if something bad happens. If you are actually good at tech and in the Bay Area you will always be employed.
How is Roblox for career growth and impact?
It depends. It's been great for me. I think overall there's been difficulty in getting promotions recently however that seems to be a market-wide issue. For NCG you can hit IC2 within a year if you're good from what I've seen.
With the recession coming up I'd say Bloomberg is a bit more established and less likely to layoff but it's up to you! Both companies are great! Roblox def has the better TC offer though. Is there no chance of Bloomberg matching the offer?
