Boeing and Intel : 2 American companies that US can't afford to fail

Both these companies management have always known about misusing power and money to waste on bonuses, stock repurchases and lobbying. So much that they have failed to innovate and yet able to sell crap they produced. Intel CEO is a clown who makes shit videos, public appearances and is spending money in states with no established infrastructure or a place to find talent. (Ohio) Also in countries where there is no history of semi-conductor industry (Germany- Union laws could come in way, Israel- good talent but war torn, other south-asian countries with no infrastructure) Boeing CEO comes from GE and hasn't learnt any lessons from failures of previous CEO Dennis Muilenburg. Semiconductor manufacturing is right now one of the most important industry and after TSMC there is big struggle to find a big, reliable manufacturer. So, US is letting this clown put up a shitshow and will have no other choice than tolerate his fukups. I'm still laughing at him walking the stage and coining the term that sounds like "silly-conomy". Juvenile, fking, idiot. Airline industry IMO there are just 2 key players in manufacturing commercial planes, Boeing and Airbus. Airbus has it's own challenges so everyone is left with Boeing getting it's shit together. Praying this doesn't come at cost of more innocent lives. I as a tax payer can only vent my frustration to watch my tax dollars wasted on A holes @boeing @intel

Well, sun will come out tomorrow. Take it easy.

I feel sorry for brilliant engineers who are working under leadership of clownsinger and his team of freaks.

Intel AkYS37 Jan 7

Thank you. But he is not the worst. Failure stems in deep.

Guess who is getting fired soon?? This asswand : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Calhoun

They need an engineer CEO and to move HQ back to Washington state. These beancounters palling around with politicians in DC just rot the company culture.

Amazon vrvi OP Jan 7

Both these companies need a functioning adult and a distinguished engineer who can lead.

Tldr; cool story bro

Don’t worry China will come soon with their planes, russia may come as well. Friendly countries to them will purchase those planes. It will become the same story as Tesla vs BYD.

NVIDIA VoteDem🗽 Jan 7

Yeah, no.

I strongly believe that when a new plane is released, the entire management chain from managers to the C suite should be required to be there on the very first test flight. They are advertising a product and to be fair, they might have been honest to the best of their knowledge. But should something go wrong, the tragedy will be too great and they can wash their hands off the whole thing with no consequences. So it's merely a matter of them putting their money where their mouth is. If it's as safe as they claim, they should be just fine.

Amazon vrvi OP Jan 7

Yeah, first many flights could be safe after inspection but what if this happens 10months later?

eBay Tiox20 Jan 7

I don't think it's possible to guarantee safety in anything in life. The aim is to ensure that due diligence was done in engineering and money did not compromise safety. And to be fair, in the recent incident, a part of the fuselage blew off and the plane still made it back safely with no casualties. It could have been a different story if this had happened at 30000 ft but still, this is quite remarkable.

It’s national security play if nothing else. If China takes Taiwan, and the U.S. got in war with china… us would have no option unless we’ve diversified

Yet Clownsinger has wasted money on factories in places that have no track record to support high tech jobs. Ohio is a deeply politically right and conservative state. Finding talent or forcing to move talent there will be challenge. This is money wasted. Dealing with Germany, a country with strong union and today trying to holding them hostage for funding may not work well later. Factories in south asia are many more challenges. Scaling in Arizona or Oregon was a logical step. Clownsinger is making deals with his political friends and making it a way bigger religious and political thing. Intel could probably not get enough customers if yields are bad and cost is too high. Maybe IFS should forced to become separate entity if they get tax dollars and Clownsinger can gofkhimself.

Which airlines are still flying the 737 MAX series?

GE management culture destroyed all legacy US manufacturers. Bunch of morons circlejerking while tech companies blow by them
