Bombed an online assessment and feel sad

Alright, so I just finished taking the online assessment of Pure Storage (new grad). 1h, 9 questions; 2 coding (1 easy, other VERY long/medium difficulty), 3 debugging, 4 multiple choice on OS related stuff. Did a very silly mistake on 1st coding that took up much of the time (resolved the issue in 1 min after finishing the test, yeah), not sure about others. This is the first test in my hunting season. I feel bad and sad. TC: None

Thats a bummer. That's usually how it goes with interview process, though. Just means you need more prep next time. Did they ask questions straight from leetcode, or originals?

None from leetcode, with EXTREMELY long problem statements

Hacker rank sucks so much

Really does. I’ve had similar issue. Long pointless problem statement where the only useful part is a single sentence close to the end.

Hey. This happens to us all. Don't worry about it. And it was ur first too. Not bad. Prep more. It will become easier. Silly mistakes will dissipate. :) I am here if want help.

I had 2 coding and about 10-15 multi choice. Not sure abt debugging qs, maybe I had it. The multi choice was painfully wordy. That's the feedback I gave them as well on test summary. I got a immediate yes though. So keep your chin up, it may work out!

This test is quite idiotic. First coding question was simple except the test run was showing - “took too long, need better algorithm”. Real problem - I forgot to advance in while loop. :) In general, it eludes me what is the purpose of the test.
