Booking(.)com background check
I worked with previous employer for 4 years, out of which 2 years I was sde1 and then I promoted to sde2 (next 2 years). However in my resume I mentioned designation as sde2 and employment period as 4 years. Didn't mention that first 2 years I was sde1. It was not intentional. I realized it now. Got verbal offer from Booking(.)com. Will this create problem in background check? When does the process start? How much time it takes? YOE: 5 TC: 0 Yet to receive numbers from booking. Edit: Cleared background verification successfully.

Doesn't matter. That's how it is supposed to be. You always mention ur last designation. No one is interested to know what level you joined and your growth trajectory unless its too steep to be believable so chill and relax.

It wouldn't matter. I have been in this industry for more than 15 years..changed jobs, countries and what not...you have done the right thing...they always verify your period of employment and last designation...that's it!
