I am L6 at Amazon with total comp 400. I am on H1b. I have own house in metrowest area and have 50% paid off and assets to pay off rest if needed. House is small but enough for me. I would still have close to 500k assets left if I pay off my home. I am sick of working hard in tech and the politics that come with a company which has a PIP process even though I have successfully navigated 10 years at Amazon. I want to work at a coasting company for a while with hopefully 200 to 250k tc. What would be some in Boston area. How is #mathworks #libertyMutaul how is #Adobe and does it hire much in Boston area. Any other suggestions? L6 400
Microsoft?
Google doesn’t consider Boston a premium market, even though COL is higher here now than in the Bay Area and MIT/Harvard is literally steps away from its main office. Source: I just got a lowballed offer and rejected.
Also doesn’t google require teams to be physically colocated? If so, the Cambridge/Boston location is pretty small so you’d better like those teams and their tech
For the majority, yes. There are still exceptions to fully remote roles though (for now…)
