Brb taking out $1M in student debt

- this is so well thought out. There is no reason for student debt to exist when the US govt literally print CASH that can take care of the debt. Thank you Bernie for standing up for the students. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/sanders-to-propose-canceling-entire-16-trillion-in-us-student-loan-debt-escalating-democratic-policy-battle/2019/06/23/1eed053a-9561-11e9-aadb-74e6b2b46f6a_story.html

I’m not writing that check. Students can go fuck themselves

Twitter Oomnj OP Jun 24, 2019

No one is asking you to pay for it, the govt will pay for it

Microsoft bqXj02 Jun 24, 2019

Who pays the government?

Drive.ai zyz Jun 24, 2019

That's not how the economy works. If you print money, there is inflation; inflation is taxation. Why should everyone else be paying for your student debt? Taxes should be for helping the poor, not the rich.

Twitter Oomnj OP Jun 24, 2019

Because students are the voters for tomorrow and we want voters to be free of burden so they can vote for socialist policies like they want to and not for someone who just promises a good capitalist economy

Drive.ai zyz Jun 24, 2019

Ok, you're trolling. Phew!

He’s not planning on printing the money, rather planning on putting a tax on stock and bond transactions. Which will kill 1000s of jobs on Wall Street and in Chicago for market makers who help keep the market efficient. Good bye most day trading.

Twitter Oomnj OP Jun 24, 2019

Good they are leeches in society anyway.

Not sure if you’re being sarcastic or just ignorant about how markets work. Wall Street, while not perfect, is very important for our economy to function.

In a economy for the people there wouldn’t be a finance industry since its not needed

Google Eybx18 Jun 24, 2019

If a student knows school costs nothing for them, they will not care what it costs. School administrators know this. They will raise prices until the government refuses to pay more. That will be a lot of money under Bernie.

Twitter Oomnj OP Jun 24, 2019

We need to nationalize all schools and college then. That’s how it works in most developed nations. Private colleges and schools sound absurd

Okta duckingbay Jun 24, 2019

If professors and teachers really cared about their students, they'd work for a basic living wage. How much would that bring down edu costs?

Facebook vader92 Jun 24, 2019

Glad to see you’re trolling, I saw this and was scared you were serious for a second. But honestly, I personally think Bernie is much more dangerous for the country than any other candidate/person ever could be. Promising free shit to everyone, forgetting that our sky high debt is still rapidly growing. The country would take a beating.

Twitter Oomnj OP Jun 24, 2019

Debt isn’t a real thing in socialist humanism so it wouldn’t matter 🤷‍♂️

eBay sLxwA828 Jun 24, 2019

Debt has already been growing unchecked though. With the amount we’ve spent on useless, misdirected wars and tax breaks for bigcorps, we could have at least paid for universal healthcare and had something to show for it

Cisco webecisco Jun 24, 2019

Someone needs a lesson in economics- you can not “literally print cash”.

Twitter Oomnj OP Jun 24, 2019

Then what does the mint do? Make breath mints?

Microsoft guym Jun 24, 2019

The mint doesn't decide how much "cash" gets printed the Fed does. The Fed can't just go make more money Willy nilly, that will drive up inflation and make our currency worthless.

Apple Cookenberg Jun 24, 2019

Education and Healthcare should not be that expensive at the first place especially when you pay so much taxes . but politicians would look what they can take out of your pocket rather than root causing the problems. Anyways with such inequality there’s a risk that US will slide into socialism and become a Venezuela.

Peloton Thizzy Jun 24, 2019

Even individuals who serve their country do not get these types of benefits. I was a student with debt and paid it off. You can do the same. Too many damn snowflakes with so much entitlement, makes me sick. Society is fucked and I hope we can develop into a sensible society.

Samsung vtPX83 Jun 24, 2019

Did you happen to take a economics class during college? Scarey level of ignorance demonstrated here.

Peloton Thizzy Jun 24, 2019

Think he was being sarcastic. If not, agree.
