Hey there! Thinking of investing in Broadcom and IBM purely for dividend yield. I won’t take the money out for atleast 5 years. Thoughts or suggestions for other options that would yield decent dividends? Already invested in Verizon and AT&T. TC: $350k YOE: 11 Bay Area Thanks in advance
If dividend is your only goal, tsmc is better
Do you mean Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing? It pays 1.42% which isn’t too impressive.
Don’t invest in IBM! Stock is trash. Trust me, I’m a profitable trader.
Then what options do you suggest?
VYM. dividend + growth
For dividends Broadcom is disgusting and IBM ain't far.
Do you even know what disgusting means?
IMO Broadcom can't sustain it's dividend. Nothing personal mate. I don't mind slinging mud on Msft as well. Purely investment vehicles.
Hard no to IBM. Years of revenue decline and more to go. Not to mention the overall sentiment of IBM stock is really poor. You will lose more than you will earn on dividends
Ain't IBM under the new CEO gonna be better? Cloud guy. Already seeing acquisitions of cloud related companies.
For max dividend you may consider AVGOP. Note that there is a trade off. Its price grows slower than AVGO.
exxon and chevron?
Thought about that but don’t you think its riskier comparatively given the rise of EVs and the new administration’s support for the Clean Energy?
not going away anytime soon.
