Buy Amazon stock?
Is it a good time to buy amazon stock if I have some cash? Please don’t mock, if you have a good understanding of economy or experience, please share I will appreciate a lot.#investments
Truth: no one knows. The market sets the current price based on the consensus of many very intelligent traders looking at all available information and trying to make informed projections.

Nobody knows buddy, market gets manipulated by Bigbulls. If you believe in Amazon and if you have trust what Amazon is doing then you should invest. As per my opinion I feel it will take minimum 2.5 - 3 years from now for Amazon to recover.
If market is looking at profitability then now is not exactly the right time as the price over earnings (P/E) ratio is still very high > 80, recommended is 20 or less, look up PE ratio of other faangmula. Amazon does have good growth outlook but I think it's going to keep going down further.

OP - what gotteeth3 said is true, but just fyi. P/E can be an indicator, but it’s not the only one and certainly do not base your investment decisions on it alone. Also P/E is based on past data, while market generally is forward looking. Do you own diligence blah blah.
All stocks are down so take a risk and buy as much as you can
One thing is for sure! You will sleep at night if you put the money to SP500 than Amazon! Diversify and be part of the ride!

Amazon PE is just crazy. I don't see how they will get that under 20 anytime soon. You should try a 5 year projection on their revenue to see if it can be done. I don't see it happening given that their costs are also rising every year. But I think amzn can settle for higher PE since AWS is not going anywhere for the next 30 years, same for retail.
If this money you don’t need for next 5 years, then place an order for VTSAX/VTIAX tonight and forget about it. I don’ buy individual stocks but may consider Amazon if it hits $50 or Tesla $25.
