Translation: We don't want to work in STEM and we don't want anyone else to work. Fuck Trump. Hope he rots in hell.

Out of curiosity op, do you think a country should prioritize its own people before those around the country? Just want to see if we’re on the same page here.
Of course it should. Not denying it. But making a law that is not supported by facts and figures is very unjust. If there were enough workers in the US who were in STEM then it is acceptable but the reality is there aren't enough people. Then why take away the opportunity from thousands of immigrants who would want to fill those gaps? America was built by immigrants. You should accept that fact.
Cool. Well America has the right to enforce its immigration policies as it sees fits. If the current admin doesn’t want immigration in certain industries, then it has the right to do so. The “America was built by immigrants” is bullshit. That basically OK’s anyone in the world to come here, which both you and I know is not sustainable.
That seems to be the liberal mantra.
Country’s GDP growth rate is directly proportional to the young population of the country. That’s a fact across the globe. They contribute more to the country and expect less from the government systems. Legal immigration statistics shows that majority of them fall between the age 25 and 45. The best productive age of one’s life. No matter what they work on ( tech or non tech) , they are contributing to country’s productivity. Are they doing it by replacing American workers? Probably. But, isn’t it inevitable? If you are making a global products and competing globally, it’s simple to understand that you must have best possible combination of human resources and costs(pay and benefits) incurred to sustain and succeed. How does restricting hiring to local help competing globally ?
America's relationship status with immigrants is "it's complicated". Ameeican companies want more skilled people so that they can compete globally but the government is dumb and putting all sorts of restrictions. They don't regulate guns but want to regulate the shit out of legal immigration. Sigh.
Isn’t half of Niger’s population under 18? Or are we talking just number of young people overall and not relative to the population of the country?
It's not just enough if the population is under 18 you need to have good institutions that can educate the youths. India is not the leader but it does have some quality institutions to produce skilled tech workers.
Trump is awesome.
