Buying 52-58k car
Thinking of buying a tesla model 3 or y. Really interested in that incentive of 7500 and CA rebate. Should I spend that much? I know cars depreciate a shitbload, but I wanna have some fun. We can afford it. Just don't know if it's worth doing it. We have 1 child and daycare is almost free. What would you guys do? Thank you. House TC. 215k

Buy or no buy decision won’t hurt you much. Nothing is wasted, if you buy you enjoy the driving for few months and gets habituated with it. If you don’t buy, you can plan it for experiencing other things like travel, adventure etc. At the end it’s just preference of experience. If you want to try before you buy, go for lease. Even if it costs more, it will give you clarity
TSLA will depreciate shitload. At one point nobody will buy model 3 because it's everywhere.
Get it. Get a M3 Performance, they are so fun. Love mine. Don’t care about what the people say about Tesla, my car has had no issues and build quality is just fine, doesn’t feel cheap or I don’t really have any quality issues other than some alignment or cheap plastic but $50K is not that much these days.
Go for Y, spacious and comfortable.. owned by both 3 and Y.. currently have a Y.. charging is cheap and literally no maintenance.. overnight charging rates in bay are around 25 cents which normally mean 10-12$ cost every night if you are driving too much and around 300$ charging cost per month.. supercharging network is stupendous and have driven across Vegas, La, Tahoe etc with no issues.. let me Know if you need a referral..you can dm me

For fun, get a i4 M50
EV cars do not make sense. The battery is in the floor but the roofline is so low. Get an iX instead.
Buy a Camry, way better vehicle Tesla in USA is $20k over its price in China, shows how much the markup is
I agree with getting a toyota but that markup is lower than you think. China teslas are made in China with labor and supply directly from China hence they cost less.
Who cares? You buy it for the utility, not the marginal cost. It is software with wheels. If Chinese Teslas are cheaper I hope we start to import them so I pay less next time.
Buy a Porsche, so much better and more fun
