Bypassing Amazon cool-off

A friend of mine (yes, actually a friend) interviewed at Amazon two months ago. He said on site went really bad. Recruiter told him he ‘might’ want to wait a year but there is no official cool off. So he created a new jobs account, new email, phone and revised resume. He just went through the interview process (different recruiter?) and got the offer. im asuming he didnt run into anyone he talked to the firts time? How common is this?

The low bar at this company amazes so much lol

Not only low bar but absolute randomness in the interview process

Your “friend” could ask on their own.

I don’t think he uses this. It’s me being curious regarding the plausibility of his story

Then ask them to join I guess

So he committed fraud. He should hope that does not come to light.

Agreed! What would happen if he ran into someone who interviewed him the first time I wonder

What are you b!tching about? He clearly passed the bar this time. Not everyone needs a year to look into a mirror and improve.

Usually the hiring process is to screen out false positives and the trade off is missing out potentials fits. If amazon believes in their system this shouldn’t be a problem for them
