HPE is doing significant WFR during the COVID-19 pandemic. Really bad severance package: a couple of months of salary and no COBRA after the last day. #layoff
When I was there HP had a lay off every 15 minutes while the damn CEO was having affairs, or a different CEO tried to sell IPG (cash cow). And another launched a tablet that gave up the ghost after 15 minutes of use. And they still kept reducing salaries, and retirement to nothing. The 401k match blew. I’m not one bit surprised that the severance package sucks. I’d be floored if HP didn’t try and screw them over. You know what sucks? The people at HP are the best. It’s like the leaders have very little regard for the employees.
> The people at HP are the best. Projection. This simply isn't true.
CEOs there is the worst.
Which department?
COBRA is the law, it has to be offered
And WFR of people in paternal leave... I'm glad I leaved.
Which unit is this in?
COBRA is legally required to be offered to you. I think you mean you're not getting any extension of employer-subsidized health insurance. COBRA really sucks so I'd look into exchange plans if I were you.
But they reduced our salaries to avoid layoffs!!!
So is legal to reduce the salary and then fire you with a low salary?
@op is Cray affected ? I thought they are doing good. Did hpe do WFR in every division then ?
Yes. Limited WFR. Pay cut was voluntary for us. Guess how many people actually agreed to that? 😂
Wtf is voluntary paycut. Who would agree to it ? So none agreed ?
