YOE: 5 TC: 110k Currently going through senior onsites at multiple FAANGs but recently hearing a lot of good stuff about Chime I'm interested, but all the backend roles are related to Ruby or Python. Are Chime interviews language-agnostic like Stripe, or do they require you to be proficient in Ruby/Python already?
language doesn't matter but I think relevant experience (ie, saas, fintech) matters on getting a better offer or even getting the first call. I referred a friend with 10 yoe++ experience in C and embedded systems and he didn't get the first call, unfortunately.
Damn, that sucks. I don't have any experience in fintech. At least good to know I should set my expectations low
Btw if you have FAANGMULA++ in your resume then you will get your first call easily.
Language doesn't matter for interviews. I had never used Ruby before joining Chime.
