I know that higher ups have access to these , but going out of the way to spy on everyone's emails and messages is kinda creating a bad work environment. He doesnt trust anyone .We work for a startup . Has anyone else faced this kind of situation?
A leader who can't trust the people he hires. Perfect for the job!
"Trust but verify" 😂
How do you know?
Yes, how?
If the CEO has time to do this at his startup then you should start looking for a new job. Slowly that place will become toxic (or it already is) which will lead to frustration.
Michael Scott from Office
He would end up spying on the wrong office
Apropos of nothing, you should always *act* as if your messages and emails are being read by your company. It's all discoverable in a lawsuita and by HR. But your CEO should never actually *do* that, that is creepy AF. Undermining and micromanaging, no atmosphere of trust or collaboration. Get out as soon as you can.
Yes. Time to find a new job
Keep your work email and personal email separate . Easier that way when you switch jobs too.
write racist drivel against the boss. get fired. file lawsuit
Happened at my former company. CEO was bold about it too. In an all hands the guy talked about how some people were just moving their mouse around, and that people should ask for more work if they don’t have any.
Your CEO has a lot of free time? This is creepy and bad leadership
