I heard there are a few orgs in CVS which have been informed about potential cuts; particularly data science teams. I have an offer with CVS and I am contemplating if it is a safe move? Also, how is CVS doing overall? #layoff #tech #cvs
I think CVS is mostly for people are either unprepared unplanned lazy lame or crazy coupon ladies. Stuff sold in CVS are so over priced that i can not came out with any reason for anyone to buy there with a clear mind. I would only use CVS if i am unprepared unplanned and need something very badly eg comdoms run out at 2am. However, CVS photos are OK and CVS pharmacy maybe very useful for those who need meds——not me, as i am still young, strong, with high annual TC than mostly everyone inside a CVS store.
That being said i would imagine CVS only maintains a small size data science team. In this trend of data engineering, everyone has to hire a team of data scientists but i heavily doubt if that investment would turn balanced in a short time.
They actually have over 1000 data scientists - extremely bloated and over staffed
OP can I DM you for the interview process and what to expect?
Probably fine but yea there are way too many data scientists
