When is the blackout period
1) Amazon employees can only trade Amazon within trading windows just after earnings announcement. The next one opens Monday. 2) Amazon employees already have their regular paycheck, healthcare and potentially 401(k) tied up in Amazon. I wouldnโt concentrate your equity exposure anymore by buying stock. Diversify!

Not all amzn employees will have multiple income streams. Willing to bet that many only earn money from amzn and thus have very limited cash. A cash cap is literally that, amazn will only pay folks a max amount of cash. Even senior vps can only make 180k cash a year, that's why amzn is a non starter for so many.
