Can I negotiate on my Google L5 offer ?

Did you have a competing offer? I recently got an offer for L5 in the Seattle Google office. I was previously at a Google at L4 for several years with high ratings (they gave a counteroffer when I quit to try to get me to stay). My offer was approximately: Total yoe:9 Base: 170k Sign on: 0k RSU: 525k Annual bonus: 15% of base So per year TC: right around 300k Current TC: 380k Mine felt like a super-lowball offer. But I didn’t have a competing offer and the recruiter told me Google didn’t care about my current TC. (This offer was after negotiation; they offered like $280k TC at first, which was like a joke since it was off by $100k). Super weird. What a waste of time that interview process was! Obviously I’m sticking with my $380k job. Maybe I’ll apply again for an L6 position in the future so I’d actually have a chance at a TC increase. (I’m at another big tech company, just posting with my old Google Blind acct.) Anyway yes I think you should take it since you didn’t get the lowball offer I did, but it doesn’t hurt to negotiate for more!

L4 can get higher than that. You can definitely beat it with L5 offer. Try to walk away and see if they reconnect

WTF is wrong with you guys, Always trying to infer the negative meaning. I am seeking advice on the offer so that I can negotiate better. If you don’t like it gtfo, rather than posting BS comments. Why don’t you see it in the other way: it gives data point to others about the market If you feel bad, go interview, work hard and bump your TC
Offer looks good. I had offer recently but chose Airbnb because numbers were way higher but again yes it's paper money
