Amazon is so high right now but can it still go higher? Can it hit 3000? 10000? Considering an offer from amazon but if there's limited growth due to it being already so high, might need to reconsider as my total comp won't go up at all.
Total comp is based on Current value —> RSU Future value —-> Stock options
Amazon factors in future growth into your total comp. With how frugal they are, there's no reason to join unless their stocks still have massive growth potential
What's a reasonable hike per year? 10% 20% yoy? Amazon stock grows much higher than that..... So, it's justified If it goes down, they will compensate by giving additional stocks If it stays flat, we will see what Amazon gives as increments but this scenario never happened
It can only go up /s
It’s going up
Eh, sure, why not
It's due for a correction...AWS is third in it's segment...retail has low margins...there's no drone delivery..no queueless amazon stores....fire was a failure....Alexa shows promise so far but that's about it....tell me one reason why it should go up further.
Amazon can grow plenty, in ways we're not even thinking about. Jeff is fantastic at finding new things to grow into and monetise.
yea it’s not amazon, it’s Jeff’s game.
AWS is 3rd. I like how people not sure of true revenue figure have fact based reasonings. Did u miss out the Health insurance announcement. Did you miss out on many retail stores closing due to Amazon - Walmart, Target and Costco seeing their sales under threat. Did you miss out on a unit called “Amazon Business” giving Alibaba run for its money and has made much much more money than any business unit in First 3 years. I like how people think Drone, Cashless Payment and Alexa is paying bills and giving revenue. Btw, I am in a senior role in Alexa team and I know where Amazon is going. To OP - Negotiate the offer. Remember the bonuses are close to $0 and the total comp is what you get for next 2-3 years and nothing more. Hope this tip helps.
Probably to 2,000
Hey Amazon folks... Just curious to know - which companies are included in the Amazon stock?
Look at the P/E. Remember the old saying, “what goes up must come down” :)
There are also funny stories about people going short based on the P/E being 'too high'
Certainly true for Microsoft
