Cyber truck killer: Chinese version of EV truck
So I received an offer from Spotify. I have asked for a few changes in terms of compensation (politely and stating that I'm open to negotiate it) and the recruiter said last monday that they will "discuss it internally". It's thursday and no response yet. In general, how much autonomy do recruiters have to negotiate salary? Do they need to ask for confirmation from higher ups to be able to increase the compensation of an offer? What are the chances that I'm risking the offer just by asking for more compensation?
Spotify has some of the worst recruiters in the world. Liars and totally unprofessional. My advice would be get ready to handle their mind games or better have other offers and ignore this junk breed of recruiters.
Could you explain your experience or what you have heard about this from others?
My personal experience. Will need another post. Will write when I get more time. For now, never believe they are telling the truth.
As far as I know recruiters need approval for anything money related.
First they will make you sweat by ghosting you. Then they will come back with mediocre to no change if you don’t have counter offer. You will accept in a minute due to all this stress unless you have a counter. Simple game !
I don't have a counter offer and I commited the mistake of telling them... Have you seen this happening a lot? Is it common practice? Are they not in a hurry to close the position? :S
No rush on their side because they know you’re not going to refuse. They’ll spend more time on candidates with competing offers. You’re on the back burner.
