I look at many of the people in my field who I look up to and I can’t imagine they are seriously sitting around doing leetcode problems. They are probably researching their field of study in some way I would imagine. PS. Leetcode is not craft
Tc?
Total Compensation, ie your salary, bonuses, and stock options annually. They also expect you to put your TC at the end of every post.
I’m asking for OP’s
Or ever successfully change jobs
Hah, yes. Leetcode is a good way to get in the door if you don’t have another way in. It is by no means the only way to get an offer, especially for senior levels.
For IC engineers is there any level at which coding interviews are no longer required at Facebook? I assume the level is at least L7?
Still required but less important than system design interviews. Also for managers. Not included in Director interviews I think. They have other things to focus on.
Clearly, no one has ever been able to achieve anything without leetcode... When you have a population that prefers memorization vs logic, you get the leetcode crowd (i.e. drones)
I can’t imagine why some people don’t leetcode and are content with their puny TC!
I'm sure on our deathbeds we will all reference the time we spent on leetcode.
True
Nope. LC is essential.
Sure, if you join the right company at the right time, and stay there for long enough.
If you are making defining contributions to your space e.g ML, media, DB, security, compiler optimization, etc. Then I think you won’t need to do too much Leetcode. But you might be surprised how many of those people you look up to are both great at what they do as well as being able to grind Leetcode when they have to.
Nobody's stopping you bro. Go ahead with your craft. Your wife will leave you for someone with higher TC coz he did leetcode, even if he's shitty at his craft.
So happy marriage = leetcode???? 🤣
Do you think maybe not sitting in front of your computer doing leetcode and actually spending time with her might be a better use of your time?
