We both are non-US citizens , my partner is in F1 visa and I am in O1. I have approved I140, I would like to add her to my adjustment of status petition as my dependent (I485), not sure if my partner being F1 (non-intent visa) is an issue though
Good luck. Check all the hundreds of posts in relationships section for marriage tips.
Shouldn't be an issue as long as both of you are on visa.
Don't get married, it's a TRAP! 🤣
You can get married anywhere in the US...they don't care about visa stauts...just need proof of who you are, passport will do..just a note, it is cheaper to get marriage license than divorce....
No issues in 485 or marriage
You said 'partner'... I'd be very careful entering into a homosexual legal union in anticipation of permanent residence. The USCIS tends to put homosexual unions under a very large microscope.
Reading comprehension, try it sometime.
Partner doesn't necessarily mean homosexual. It could also be someone who you have been in a relationship with for years but who you haven't married (yet). Calling someone who you have been dating for a decade a girlfriend sounds weird.
get a lawyer
No.
You can get married and add your partner to your I-485 but only before it’s approved. Once approved, the wait time for your partner to get the green card is really really long.
You can get married no matter the visa status. Once a marriage certificate is issued you can add them as a dependent
