H1B is a visa not a job You will reach canada then what drive Uber ?
I am curious. Looks promising
Is Canada ramping up tech jobs to meet supply of candidates tho
There are more Canadian applicants than tech jobs. Canada is over immigrated and the tech and, many other sectors including banking and durable goods, are laying off too
You could only bet on it
I agree that there needs to be a job market. If US tech market is in layoffs so Canada, UK, Singapore etc who are dependent/mirror tech markets.
Going from the US to Canada for tech jobs is the equivalent of going from the MLB to Double-A baseball. Even if this program helps H1Bs get citizenship in Canada, the TC, growth opportunities and tech industry is going to be subpar compared to what they could get in America. What’s the point of leaving somewhere better to get to somewhere worse? TC: 90K
They need to ramp up salaries too. It’s a joke
all my friends around here are making 300+ TC. it actually becomes much easier to find US job, seems like post-layoffs companies are trying to save and expanding outside the US, which is good
300k cad after tax is same as about 195k in California… if you’re experienced enough to get 300 cad you can def get 300k USD no problem.
What happened to the ‘exquisite’ Canadian experience their recruiters keep asking for? I’ve also heard of open permit holders being discriminated against for quasi-racial reasons. People should be aware of what they are getting into.
yeah, that's a wide-spread scam about that "unique" experience. just tell them to piss off and apply yourself
I have never seen this but I feel like this is a way to discriminate without overtly discriminating and breaking laws. Lululemon hires without any Canadian experience but I heard the salaries are bad.
Let’s see how many h1s go to Canada
If US yanks your chain in the future you'll go.
I’d rather go back to india bro.
