China CYBERATTACK on UK ? WTF
How do you approach your career: is it a fast sprint to the FIRE finish line or a slow and steady marathon of 35+ years until you can retire with gray hair past 60?
My approach would be a 30 year plan divided into 2 halves, first half is tech and 2nd half is management. YOE: 10 TC: 220k
Sprint to the FI. Then you have the choice to RE, or not.
Sprint. FIRE early, enjoy old age
Sprint to freedom

Sprintathon
That’s probably the most sensible approach. Sprint when needed, otherwise treat it as a marathon
I more meant an eternal sprint… going for a “myth of Sisyphus” type thing… never mind
Talk about a loaded question
One of my concerns about the marathon approach is how fast my industry (tech) changes. Who knows if I'll be employable at similar pay and working conditions in a decade? I see it as almost imperative to make as much hay as possible while the sun shines.
