Hello! I feel stuck in my career and want to make a change. Maybe change company, change roles etc. I feel like I don’t have enough experience for these changes though ☹️probably won’t be able to crack interviews outside. I am feeling very lost. Has anyone used a career coach and did that help? Any recommendations? I am looking at themuse.com. Any experience with that? TIA!
How many years of experience do you have and what is your current role?
I have 15 years, currently senior dev... came from SDET background. Lost 3-4 years in sdet-sde crap☹️ so don’t feel like I have enough system design, architecture experience to show for 15 years in the industry...
Man, that sucks. I would hit the books hard and try to get a job at any cloud web services oriented 2nd tier company in the area. Then try to be a lead there and move on to tier 1 again if possible. Ebay, VMware, Etc
I answered this elsewhere, try Interview Kickstart. Muse is just a bunch of click bait.
Thanks! Let me check it.
I have a coach through Betterup.co. Quite happy with my coach. Not sure if they only work with companies or also work with individuals..
Thanks! I will check it. Thanks!
I use a coach local to the Bay Area who comes from a tech background. Interview prep, career advice, etc. DM me if you want his info.
Thanks! Please send me his info.
Please send me his info. too
Spoke with a coach at theMuse, agree it’s garbage. Waste of money.
You’re looking for a recruiter, not a coach
I’m an engineering leader at PlayStation and have been getting trained as a leadership and performance coach from Brown University. DM me if you want to talk and see how I can help you.
