Currently in an non tech field, 30F thinking about pursuing second master’s to break into UX. Is it worth the time? I had previously worked with a startup as an UX Designer but didn’t learn much. Part time MS is my goal. What does it take to be a designer at Apple, Google, Meta, Nvidia. Any opinions about UX field outlook 5years down the road? #tech #design
I’d say save your money and instead of going for masters build your portfolio. Also networking with people in the field is your best friend
I'd try breaking into PM - you'll build connections and learn about the business
This is literally the worst time
Huh? By the time I graduate it will be couple of years from now
I would look for online UX courses and books first and then expand from there.
Not sure if you need masters to get into UX tbh. People look for a good portfolio, not a degree…
