Looking for a car for long road trips. Primary requirement is adaptive cruise control and lane assist features. Are there any cars that match Tesla?
Tesla
Yes, it is Tesla!
I have a Chrysler Pacifica eHybrid minivan which have both, you can do ping drives because also have gas
Not Tesla
Please don’t use those Tesla features if you care for your life. I’ve had a couple of scares and never use Tesla autopilot anymore. It’s a great electric car otherwise but autopilot is horrible.
Cadillac supercruise
Latest Mercedes model is ‘the best. Volvo is second. Remember to buy latest model.
Hyundai highway drive assist is second best in affordable category Super cruise in new Escalade is better than Tesla
Tesla is great, but I don’t trust the autopilot mode after some scary shit malfunction. Our VW Atlas has adaptable cruise control with lane guidance. It works really well, and is essentially always on. I feel the steering wheel gently tugging to keep me on the center of the lane and the adaptive cruise control is excellent. It also has emergency braking and avoidance when backing up that has already saved me from a few dents. Useful for such a big car.
