I will be joining 'Y' soon. They do provide relocation benefits through Cartus agents. There is reimbursement on car rentals. The document they provided clearly states that I can take car or lease show bills and gets reimbursed. Now I want to opt out of that option because I want to drive by myself car of my choice for X days which will be parked at my locality. But my Cartus agent is continuously trying not to answer questions that I am asking him in emails rather than he is providing options to use ola-uber instead which is gonna save them a lot of money. This is my first time joining a great MNC. So I don't wanna take steps that might put me in trouble as well. Can someone tell me what to do in the scenario? It is not just me, there are other people in company 'Y' and they(Cartus agents) are trying to save money from those people as well. Like when we are trying to find hotels that can include meals in the room cost only because they are not paying for meals in their provided documents (they are saying we can't use them even if it says that meals are free, nothing related to it is written anywhere). Do they usually do so, and can we try to stick to what we need through the statement/documents that are written, or do we need to decide only on the basis of what they are suggesting? can they hold off reimbursements in the end ? is there anyone else who has opted for this option before? #Microsoft #google #cartus #relocation

In the same boat, just created an account on Cartus portal. I will be receiving lump sum as mentioned in my offer letter however recruiter told that they will also cover for initial car rental, air travel and accommodation via Cartus. Not sure how good service Cartus will offer
