At my previous company I had an interesting discussion with a coworker who came from India. He stated that the caste system is very much alive in the US - and mentioned how his manager treated him differently because he was from a lower caste. For those of you who have come from that background - is it anywhere near what the caste system is like in India?
your friend is insecure and an idiot
More likely that you are actually.
Definitely you are idiot and whose name has tags they don’t understand it as they do it

Not intentional spam. Just curious - as his comment seemed off to me. I’ve never noticed any difference in how others were being treated at my work
Seem a lot of closet racist here. Makes me wonder the intent of this post.
I see in Visa. Hiring manager hires only from his cast. It’s there in Cisco and blatant nepotism
Does it seem to be consistent across many companies you’ve interacted with? As well, how would you know someone’s caste? I know nearly nothing about how the caste system works - besides what a quick google search shows.
They are from same region as I am and not hard to guess
Caste system of Blind: Google, Netflix > FB > Microsoft, Amazon > Everyone else
Lol if you think FB is behind google and Netflix ... LMAO Tons of xooglers here making more money and having fun. Netflix idk
Lol fuck fb. Work 16 hours a day and it's not like you make double of what we make at Google
There is a language based or region based system in US but no caste system.
I had a Muslim manager who hired mostly muslims and treated them differently also asked them to go to pray with him...
I had a Professor who sued the Head of the Dept. when he didn’t get promoted. Both were Indians. The Prof. alleged that the HoD didn’t promote him because he was from a lower caste while the HoD was from a higher caste. This happened in USA. We thought this was so absurd. A few years later the lower caste Prof won the case and got promoted. 🤷♂️🙆♂️
India is a diverse country and if there are 10 members in a team manager will always favor from his state religion caste home town..
Caste System in US? I did not even experience caste system while growing up in urban India
it's very subtle noone will tell you but behaviour will be different...
Like how?
Caste system only appears when Indians interact with other Indians. Doesn’t matter if they are in the U.S., Canada, or anywhere else. Indians bring India wherever they go 😂 As a white American, I guarantee you most of us won’t care about that caste bullshit. Skin color, on the other hand... 😉
Most indians that i know dont care about cast.
Do they use templates and implicit conversion instead?

BREAKING: Internal sources confirm another round of layoffs just hit emails at Tesla. For real.
Not even a little bit. Indians try to act like it is.
Why? I really am curious - I’ve never noticed anything similar
