Just curious– these two showed up out of nowhere about six months ago to lead ops for Cash App. Card has an interesting resume– about a year or less at a bunch of names, Facebook, Yahoo, Netflix and Zynga (yes, lol) to name a few. There is a noticable overlap in her resume and McComb’s during a stint at Yahoo together where he seemed to jump up the ladder quickly. Now they’re both in the same place again. Anybody have any firsthand experience working with either previously?
Card working on Cash sounds odd indeed!
How so?
Sorry man, it’s a flippant comment (card, cash different methods of payment etc :) )
Matt worked for Catherine at a previous company. She installed him in a position of authority as site lead in Portland. The more interesting/disturbing thing, in my opinion, is that in the last 9 months she’s hired 4-5 additional people. All former employees of Catherine from various points in her career now all in positions of authority within the Cash org reporting to her. One or two people is the raise of any eyebrow... this many people all in control of various operations, team / site lead and data analytics roles... maybe I’m paranoid but that feels concerning.
That’s common for execs to try and bring over people they worked well with in the past

She’s a woman. End of thread.
Obviously. And did you know he’s a man? The question was about what they’re like to work with– together or separately, not about their gender.
