Thoughts? Will GCP be the winner in the future Google Amazon Microsoft Apple Nvidia Meta
April Fools is long gone mate
Nope
I have always found GCP environment easier to work in than AWS and Azure. Not that any of them are hard, but GCP was always more intuitive for me.
Why to beat? The pie gets bigger and bigger and we should aim to close gap. Companies want to use multi cloud. We should try to become primary provider and close the spend gap
Iâm not very familiar with Cloud services. Why would clients want to be multicloud instead of using 1 companyâs service as a one stop shop?
@meta. Avoid vendor lock in, DR strategies, etc
First Google should try to move it's consumer products to GCP. That will give a lot of boost to GCP offerings. Unless this happens GCP will never be taken as a serious entity and will keep on bleeding customers
Right I heard that Google search or docs donât use gcp that sucks
Exactly! If they did this, then they'd have a fighting chance. They will remain important, but not quite top contenders.
Software is very very high on first mover advantage. So gcp will have to be content with the startups. All the big dogs are already claimed for.
GCP is led by TK. He is a tenured Oracle executive and will ensure he runs the company to the ground. He was the sole reason Oracle did not move fast enough. OCI would have been created 5 years before if it was not for him.
bro GCS uses S3 API something drastic would have to happen otherwise AWS is just too much of a standard.
The other thing Google has going for them that will hurt their chances is the fact that they sunset pretty much everything. I have had commitment issues with Google for a long time now.
It's more probable that waymo win Tesla in fsd
