Changed jobs feeling lost
I just changed jobs went from Amazon to a medium size company. New company has most of open source tools and also mostly uses javascript. Where as at Amazon I was mostly working in Java. It is my first week in new company and I kind of feel very lost and overwhelmed. Also voing through lot of javascript tutorials at home. Its all making me feel like I wont be able to survive at new place. Is it common for everyone or just me.
Happend to me, first month I kept thinking of going back or picking other offers I had. But after few more weeks things started to change and I started enjoying this new environment. Some days are good and some days are bad but that's part of the job. Grass is always greener on the other side, unless you move to that side :). Just hang on and give yourself 3-4 months. If after that also you have the same feeling may be moving back or somewhere else won't be a bad idea. But first give it a try. What's your YOE.
