Changing Facebook location from Menlo park to Seattle post offer
Hi, I am in Seattle area. I interviewed and received an offer from fb for Menlo park. I had to delay my joining date because of personal reasons. Meanwhile things changed and moving to bay area is no longer an option or would be difficult now. Haven't talked about this to my recruiter because I feel I already have been pushing a lot because of the start date delay. Had initially asked before interviewing if they would be ok if I join Seattle and she had declined at the time because they didn't have openings in Seattle at the time. Is it that big an issue for FB if I interviewed for Menlo park and want to join the Seattle office.? Any similar experiences?
Just my 2 cents. Internal transfers between offices once you've joined a team are pretty easy. Much easier than most companies. However, Seattle is pretty tight for space right now (but they are opening a new office there in the coming months, so you might get lucky).
Is it the SLU building or a different one?

Best to speak with your recruiter. Plus keep in mind Seattle only hires E5+ (as I am told my the recruiter).
