If I book my flight via OTAs like Expedia, booking.com, MakeMyTrip, etc., how would this purchase be considered as? Newbie looking for inputs from people who have Chase Sapphire Reserve (CSR). I understand that by booking from Chase Ultimate Rewards portal, I will earn 5x points and by booking from airlines directly (less hassle), I will earn 3x points. But I want to be informative about other bookings. If you can share references, it will help. Thank you and good day!
Why did you tag Amazon Goog Meta specifically for this lmfao
Because they make good money and they are cheap and always look for rewards points π. Joking!
Pretty much always better to buy directly with the airlines anyways.
If you plan to do this, imo the Amex platinum is a much better card
Csr has better transfer partners. But i have both π€·π»ββοΈ
In addition to travel bookings, you get free lounge access to most airports in the world
And some restaurants!
The Chase portal uses Expedia as its backend, so it would cost the same. Your choice should be between booking through Chase or the airlines website.
Used to have this card. Call chase and have them match if you find lower price. 5X is better depending on price
You actually earn 3x points and then 1.5x at the time of redemption. Your effective cashback is 4.5x
