Recently gave an interview with chewy and although I did perform well recruiter reached back and said they would like to downlevel and have a bullshit reason..which doesn’t involve my perf. What should I do? Should I respond back that I’m not comfortable or should go ahead with other rounds? #tech #interview #chewy
I would say turn down. I recently interviewed with chewy, after first round they came back and said remote is not an option. During recruiter call I was clear, looks like the company is not organized.
I have heard the same about Chewy! Not so good work culture.. turn down
The recruiter reached out and after our 20 minutes conversation told me that they will have to down level me and make me interview for a different team because I didn't have any big name companies on my resume like target, walmart, costco etc (wtf?) i said thank you for your time, i am not interested to move forward and got the f out! Days later the HM reaches out (whom i haven't even spoken to), says they really liked my profile and were hoping to get me on their team, then proceeds to ask me to schedule a call outside of work to discuss a few things, never replied to that! Just sharing my experience, the weirdest I have come across in the past few months of interviewing.
I'd let them put the numbers together and see what they look like. No sense in throwing out a good offer, and it costs you nothing. Just reject it if the numbers suck (which they probably will)
Same thing happened to me.. I would say very unprofessional tactics were applied.. share ur TC and expected tc and location Can share if its worth of ur time or not
What was the first coding round was like, what question did they ask? Could you please share
It depends on how much the down level or difference in comp bothers you.
