China as the New World Power flexing its muscle

all these companies apologizing to China because of China threats to stop doing business with them. all these companies are caving. china can make them do whatever they want. china can crush american economy in a minute by turning off all business with apple and other major companies. more powerful than the little morning shit tweets by trump affecting the NYSE.

More like capitalism showing its true color 🤔 and it’s red 😂

Zume worstjobev OP Oct 9, 2019

I’ll buy that. Capitalism is driven by the consumer and China government is the biggest consumer by hundreds of millions. No other customer controls more purchasing power. Therefore they control the entire market.

Twitter a.a.milne Oct 9, 2019

Not really. China has a lot of consumers but overall the constituer very little market for most western companies

Flowcast lulll Oct 9, 2019

Sigh. You do know the reason China is insecure right now is Trump’s trade war is working and their economy is starting to fail, while more companies are becoming less dependent on them. If China waited it out till 2050 they would’ve been a big world power. Now I’m waiting to see EU retaliate against them

This is literally what collapsed Japan in the 90s. Good on trump if he pulls through

Zume worstjobev OP Oct 9, 2019

Japan wasn’t stealing all American IP or operating in the digital age, where rules of economics and warfare are synonymous. This isn’t China’s last gasp. It’s their coming out party.

Thanks

I love how China thinks the world depends on them. Lul!! India, Malaysia, Africa, lets go boys!!!

Manufacturing has already gone more to Vietnam, Malay, and African countries. Like diversifying a portfolio, we can’t put too much power into one country or it will come back around and bite us. Any country with ~ a billion in population is a potential change to the new world order.

Twitter a.a.milne Oct 9, 2019

I want China to kick every American manufacturer out of their country right now! We’ll take a hit but we’ll be much better off afterwards.

Compass LInR08 Oct 9, 2019

Says the guy working at an American tech firm. Lol

Twitter a.a.milne Oct 9, 2019

Yeah most american tech firms are already banned and they are still doing fine

The USA began the trade war.. And at this point it better be prepared to win bc it won't get a second chance

Flowcast lulll Oct 9, 2019

Its easy to win unless a dem in office sells us and freedom out

Compass LInR08 Oct 9, 2019

70% of our GDP is services. Not manufacturing. It’s going to move to other countries not back to us. China gets hurt long run

Twitter a.a.milne Oct 9, 2019

Once it gets fully automated then the location is irrelevant. So whichever country has the best automation roadmap gets the manufacturing industry

Compass LInR08 Oct 9, 2019

I think you missed the part about services. That was kinda my point.

Yea but no one wants to live there

The PRC feels the need to legitimize its oligarchy through economic growth. They’re still struggling. Observe that no other country gets so offended by political criticism, and you’ll come to realize their government’s extreme fear of social instability. It’s no easy business running a country of 1.5 billion people. Any social problem becomes magnified. For instance, due to the one-child policy, their aging population is a huge problem, and their dependency ratio already outgrew the United States in 2016.

Twitter a.a.milne Oct 9, 2019

All their economic numbers are made up

GrubHub groggyfrog Oct 9, 2019

It seems so, further confirming that the government really struggles to prove themselves worthy.
