Wanted to get some of everyone’s thoughts at Cisco. Now I may be totally in La La land due to my current TC, but I felt disrespected when they told me the offer, I absolutely just laughed and said they were not remotely close. You tell me if I’m being irrational with what they offered for a Grade 10 position: Cisco TC (Base+Bonus; no RSUs or signing bonus): $132K Current TC (Base+Bonus+RSUs): $304K YOE: 8+ #tech #cisco #ciscocareers
Didn’t you discuss the range before going thru all those interviews?
Yeah, I told them and they told me the range in the beginning in which I said it was not worth wasting everyone’s time, but said that they would be able to make an exception to bump the base and add RSUs…
Cisco TC looks adequate, stripe tc looks overpaid af. Like why pay 300k for a typical FP&A analyst? This is aint investment banking lolzz. Same excel spreadsheets, same SAP/Oracle FI bs to dealt with. Any big4 accountant with 3 YoE can do that job. Keep in mind there are like 5000+ MBA folks from top-10 program who graduate every year and are looking for FP&A type job
I’m actually a manager, but appreciate you considering me as a bottom feeding analyst, boo boo 😘
Then looks like you applied for analyst job at cisco
@op they will never bump even remotely close to your current number. Use this as a practice round and keep grinding
Yikes
Thank you, means a lot to hear it from the haters mouth 😏
Nothing hurts my feelings, especially via Blind. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and it’s all a free show. Was asking for honest opinions, you gave one and your response came off haterish, so I called you out. Don’t worry boo boo, we all winners in the end.
That is really really low for a G10 at Cisco. And knowing your current tc that is an absolute shameful offer.
Wow your tc at stripe is really good? How much of that is base? And are you a manager or sr manager there?
Take the offer 😂
Cisco has always had low TC but great WLB. I can’t imagine going there beyond TC as a reason but can understand why some people make the choice to do so. Reality hits somewhere in the middle. There have been a lot of layoffs and many companies are no longer maxing out their pay bands to attract talent because they know that people have less options. The market is swimming in applicants. Your TC is about top of the market. As someone who also received a top of the market raise adjustment - I have no interest in leaving because it’s going to be close to impossible to get someone to match in this environment. I’d recommend leading with salary minimum next time you interview with a hiring manager. TBH. I am pretty sure every company I interviewed with asked me my requirements after phone screen. I get that some of the comments are rude but it isn’t worth being petty.
Cisco is cheap when it comes to tc
Cheap? That offer is flat out penny pinching beyond the words. Maybe I, like others in tech, are spoiled with the beautiful TC. Then again, we make the ship run for these executives who are cashing in RSUs and bonuses like Monopoly money 🤷🏽♂️
