Cisco Public discrimination
Cisco Systems announced that they will be publicly hiring and promoting more black people. For some reason some random white VP or director that I’ve never talked to somehow benefits me because I’m white. I’m not kidding, they openly lay out their plans to discriminate against all races that aren’t black. Cisco has just also came out with questionable company “beliefs” such as we believe that we should defund the police. Taking away budget that could go to training and body cameras isn’t my believe and neither are other far left beliefs they state. I’ve talked with several employees about this and not many of them find this okay but of course they wouldn’t dare to bring this up internally. Cisco donated 5 million dollars to BLM an organization that spent a portion of their money donating to democrats and a huge portion to travel. There’s no question that they believe in far leftist ideas such as defunding and or abolishing the police, destruction of the nuclear family and abolishing prisons. Not to mention they proudly spout that they are trained Marxist and ironically enough hate capitalism which is basically how Cisco is Cisco. So the biggest issue is they are about to have mass layoffs and didn’t have enough to fund our normal full bonuses and no one got raises. So they can’t take care of employees but they literally can donate 5 million to an anti capitalist Marxist origination. We regularly have company whole meetings where people basically complain about white people and white people are supposed to feel guilty I guess, Ironically enough Cisco gave us the Election Day off hoping that we would vote for someone who authored the crime bill which locked up many non violent black people. Let me not get too off topic though. I used to love working here but I literally have to see politics on social media, sports and on the news, I’d rather it not be crammed down my throat at work. I come to work, not to get lectured on white privileged and racism every single week. Like we are a professional company, I’ve never seen racism at Cisco when at work and I know that we don’t discriminate based on race well until now. Let me come to work and work. Also I don’t believe in some of your far leftist ideas that y’all put out as our beliefs, those aren’t thousands of our beliefs. I’d rather come out as anything except a conservative at work. I feel like we focus more on social issues than building our business. We are a publicly traded company and somehow we are openly saying we are going to discriminate against everyone who’s not black. I’m not sure how that’s actually legal. I don’t see a future at Cisco because I see that we are investing more in political/social stuff than our employees and growing the business. I still don’t understand how this is legal. You can use google and type In “Cisco social justice beliefs” to see what I’m talking about. Call me a believer but I think telling anyone of a certain race that they can’t do something because of their skin color is the most racist thing you can say. We live in America in 2020. Raising children in single parent households is the biggest form of oppression there can be, you think we highlight that in our SJW beliefs, absolutely not, despite it making children 20x more likely to go to prison, more likely to drop out of HS, more likely to be poor and the list goes on. (these are Obama stats not mine).

Yea they are for sure. Google “Cisco social beliefs” to see all of the far leftist ideas they are trying to push out. They even gave us the Election Day off prob in hopes we would all be able to go vote democrat (not gonna happen) but workplace was the last place I thought I’d have to put up with that stuff. Nah, I guess I should be glad that my Company is trying to push me to be an activist for the left and spending hundreds of millions on social issues when we are about to lay off hundreds to thousands. I mean I get that Cisco is based in Cali and is gonna be liberal but they are going overboard.
OP - They didn’t tell you to do anything. The company earned some profits and it reserves the right to put those profits anywhere they please. Including in your pocket or someone else’s. You’ve chosen to get triggered. Good for you. If they choose to put the money into charities housing the homeless or welfare for struggling black communities. If you have problems you can also go yell at your mirror.

I mean it’s another way of saying “other than white people”. You have to remember, since most of the leadership is white, that somehow benefits us.... Don’t ask how someone’s skin color we don’t know and haven’t directly talked to benefits us, it just does and accept it.

Ya I mean I agree with you but the issue is they named it black lives matter so it prevents people from Speaking openly about their policies and ideology. I mean to them if you speak negatively about blm then you don’t think black lives matter to them. So it’s a saying which is accurate bc no reasonable person thinks there’s a race of people whose life’s don’t matter but it’s also an org with a far leftist ideology. Here we are though, about to lay people off but at least everyone knows we are social justice warriors now. We have had a lot of calls where it seems like the purpose is to try to make white people feel guilty about shit they had no control over. Malcom X said that the worst thing for the black community are the white liberals. Because they are the real racists. Blacks that are democrats are brain washed by white liberals that live in gated communites but “think” they ate making the world a better place with this ideology. Look, do you think white europeans entered the jungle in Africa to slave people? No! Our own prople in Africa slaved each other first and sold the defeated tribes to the white man. Companies should treat every one equal. Period. BLM is a revenge moviment and companies should be out of this.

I don’t watch any of the trash but I hear about it from everyone else. So many people feel the same way but no one is going to speak on it. Like the 5 million BLM donation. The org has FAR leftist ideology but if you question the blm donation then you must be against black lives. I mean that’s liberal response 101. Like that org is organizing riots and burning down our city but we donate millions to them instead of retaining some people in this upcoming lay-off, it’s unreal.
Affirmative action is not discrimination because positive bias here is towards a minority oppressed community over a majority oppressor community
