Cisco internal job switch

I am in MIG group and trying to move to SBG, CSPG. Is it risky to approach other managers without telling your current manager? Can I directly email the Hiring manager about my interest in working for the job opening under them? Kindly suggest me how I can switch the job inside Cisco… Thanks in advance. #Cisco #internaljobs
