Citadel phone screen interview - was asked a LC medium question. coded in < 15 mins. No issues with the code. Then interviewer started discussing work for 10 mins. Ended 10 mins early (started 10 mins late). Got a reject. Dont know why 🤷♀#interview LC 1000+
Did you explain your thought process while solving the LC? What kind of work questions did they ask?
yes clearly
didnt ask anything; more on what interviewer is working on and team structure
could it be that they decided that you memorized the solution?
Probably realized you already knew the answer. You could've done it a little slower...
jfyi, i dont memorize solutions
I had the same experience. Don't think too much about it.
lol i dont. i was just interviewing for experience
Maybe it's a blessing in disguise considering their crazy work hours.
Maybe the interviewer felt intimidated
Why? You ended 10 minutes early. It you were interested in the job, you would have asked more questions. The interviewer must have felt that. It’s like a date. If you end it early, they don’t call you back.
Was this for NXT?
what is nxt?

Well I guess the human component didn’t match his expectation. That’s what many engineers are forgetting about. It’s not just about having the perfect LC answer
