TC: 150K YOE : 9 Recently interviewed at citadel, it's been almost 4 weeks. Feedback from recruiter is positive and they like me. But haven't heard back the offer from citadel yet. Is this Normal ? . I have interviewed with other companies as well and have heard very positive feedbacks. I am not sure what I am supposed to do no. Why would they take more than 4 weeks to give a offer? #citadel #interview Also what should I negotiate for the offer if I get one ?
Is there a GPA cutoff for them?
I guess around 3.5.
They checked your GPA after 9yoe??
Tell us about the interview? # Rounds? LC difficulty?
Majority of the interview was very casual conversation, since this role was very specific role. I would say leetcode medium level difficulty. This position is for Senior engineer. had around 7 rounds.
Only leetcode questions? No system design?
They may not come back with an offer.
Oh that’s sad , was there a third party recruiter involved ? Or was it directly with citadel recruiter ?
Direct Citadel recruiter. Yours?
Citadel is super slow in HR stuff. My total time from first interview to offer was 6+ weeks
Holy cow, that's way too long. Did you have competing offers ? also what's you YOE and TC ?
Had a couple competing offers but kept pushing them out because I knew citadel would give me the best tc if I got one. YOE 10+ TC 800
I had this happen during my recruitment. They told me they felt positively and took 3 weeks to send my offer letter from there on out.
It's been close to four weeks now and every time I hear a new reason. Not sure why they are so slow .
My whole interview process was about 4 months from the initial contact to the offer. We lose a lot of good people because of the slow interview process. It's one of the areas we've been working to improve but it's still a work in progress (and the pandemic hasn't helped)
OMG, that's just insane. Why did you wait for 4 months ? what is your YOE and TC ?
I got my offer an hour right after my onsite interviews. If you have a competing offer, it helps. Also don’t hesitate to follow up with your recruiter/HR. In your case, it could be they want to compare you against other candidates interviewing for the role.
I did follow up, but I don't have direct contact with the citadel recruiters. I have to speak to third party recruiter who then contact citadel guys. It's just a never ending loop. I agree having a competing offer really helps. Hence trying to get one.
This is pretty much unheard of. Lots of approvals need to be made for this to happen. CEO approves every new hire.
Hiring committee can definitely take a hot sec but 4 weeks is awhile. You may not be the first choice but they probably like you. There’s a whole lot of black magic and fires to fight in recruiting though so who knows
Yeah, I don't know about that. But having a competing offer really helps when interviewing with companies like citadel. It will certainly expedite the process
I find the current tc hard to believe. Went to top 10 school with 4.0 gpa, 9yoe, either in cs or finance and tc 150k
Yes , you read it right , it’s base + bonus. Didn’t put RSU into this TC since this startup is going through tough times , the RSU are literally worthless . Also I joined this startup right after college and have been part of this for 6 years , the pay hike over here was terrible and also my manager exploited me to the core.
That startup costed you over half a million. Hopefully you get this offer to make up lost time...
